Marina Ferrarini
Biology of multiple myeloma
ferrarini.marina@hsr.it

The Group is involved in the study of the pathogenesis of Multiple Myeloma (MM). MM is an incurable B-cell neoplasm of slowly proliferating Plasma Cells (PC) within the Bone Marrow (BM), which confers growth advantage and chemo-resistance to the tumor. We are investigating the interactions between malignant PC and BM cellular components, including Bone Marrow Stromal Cells (BMSC) and Endothelial Cells (EC)
