Type of position: Junior Technician

Subject area: Immunopathogenesis of Liver Infection

Requirements: Candidates should hold a “Laurea Triennale in Scienze Biologiche o Biotecnologie”. More advanced degrees will also be considered (except M.D., Ph.D. and/or equivalents) although such candidates must show a strong motivation to perform (overtime) relatively simple technical procedures. Previous work experience is not required, but will be appreciated (along with a basic knowledge of english).

Description: A Junior Technician will devote a significant amount of his/her time/effort carrying out the breeding, weaning, tail cropping, bleeding and identification of transgenic mice (using PCR and immunoassays). He/she will also be responsible for the analyses of mouse RNAs and DNAs by Northern and Southern blots and RNAse protection assays.

Start date: As soon as possible.

Salary or grant: Salary will be adjusted to the candidate’s level of experience and will be discussed during the interview. It is predicted that a working relationship based on contracts renewed annually will be established after a period of training.
