INTERNATIONAL POSTDOCTORAL PROGRAMME
The San Raffaele Scientific Institute in Milan, Italy, has launched an International Postdoctoral Programme that will open yearly Calls. This Programme, partly cofunded by the European Union Seventh Framework Programme, Marie Curie Co-funding of Regional, National and International Programmes (COFUND), fulfills the criteria of incoming and reintegration mobility according to the EU FP7 definition. Positions awarded within this Programme offer competitive salaries and will cover a minimum of two years of research activity and training in a strong research environment such as the San Raffaele Scientific Institute.
Current fields of research in the Institute are Molecular Oncology, Neuroscience, Genetics and Cell Biology, Immunology, Transplantation and Infectious Diseases, Metabolic and Cardiovascular Sciences, Regenerative Medicine Stem Cells and Gene Therapy, Developmental Biology, Genomics, Bioinformatics and Biostatistics, and Experimental Imaging.
The city of Milan offers an active cultural environment, and is conveniently located near some of the most important Italian tourist attractions, including Venice and Florence, and within a two-hour drive from some strikingly beautiful resorts located on the Mediterranean coast, in the Italian Alps and by the four sub-alpine lakes of Lombardy.
In each Call applicants will undergo a competitive selection, at the end of which they will freely choose a research project and the hosting laboratory among the ones accepting positions.
